I. Product Overview
The Emergency Relief Valve (Safety Valve) is a direct-acting, self-resetting valve. Its release mechanism features a spring-loaded ball and seat structure. It automatically relieves pressure when the system pressure exceeds the set value, providing automatic protection for personnel safety and high-pressure systems.
A top adjusting bolt allows the release pressure to be regulated between 35MPa and 140MPa. It can be installed on equipment that requires overpressure protection, such as high-pressure fluid control pipelines, reciprocating plunger pumps, and pressure vessels, with a maximum working pressure of 105MPa or 140MPa. When the system pressure exceeds the pre-set value, the valve opens by the pressure of the system itself; once the pressure drops, the valve automatically closes, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
-
To ensure safety, an emergency relief valve (i.e., safety valve) is installed at the discharge port of the drilling pump to keep the pump's ultimate pressure within the allowable range.
-
Our company's designed and manufactured high-pressure safety valve is forged from high-quality alloy structural steel. It is a device used to protect equipment and personnel safety, typically installed on equipment operating under high-pressure and high-flow conditions, such as cementing and fracturing pumps, high-pressure work pipelines, and pressure vessels.
-
The high-pressure safety valve primarily regulates the spring force acting on the valve seat by adjusting the nut at the top. When the pump pressure or pipeline pressure exceeds the pre-set value, the safety valve automatically opens to vent the pressure. Once the pressure returns to the normal value, the valve stem resets under the action of the spring, causing the valve to close.
II. Design Features
-
The valve's automatic opening and closing are achieved using a spring, providing overpressure protection without needing to shut down the machine. Its performance is superior to shear pin-type safety valves.
-
The safety valve has a simple structure and a small size.
-
There is no leakage under normal operating conditions.
-
When operating through a remote control console, the high-pressure safety valve protects the equipment from damage due to overpressure operation.
-
It has no frequently replaced wearing parts, and the pressure adjustment is stepless and accurate.
-
It provides overpressure protection without the need for shutdown, offering better reliability than shear pin-type safety valves.
-
The product complies with the API-6A standard. The connection type and specifications are completely consistent with similar products from SPM Company, ensuring strong interchangeability.
-
The Hammer Union connection makes installation and disassembly convenient.
-
The relief pressure is fully adjustable.
